  • What file formats does Crystallizer Viewer support?
    Crystallizer Viewer currently supports several common medical imaging formats, including: DICOM (.dcm) NIFTI (.nii) NRRD (.nrrd) DICOM is recognized as the most universal format in the medical imaging industry. Please be aware that common 2D image formats like JPG or PNG cannot be converted into 3D models within the viewer.
  • How can I import medical images into Crystallizer Viewer?
    1. Navigate to app.crystallizer.com in your web browser. 2. Click on the 'Import' button. 3. Select the medical image files you wish to upload from your device.
  • How do I locate DICOM files?
    DICOM files are typically stored on a CD or USB drive. To find them: Check for files with the .dcm extension: Many DICOM files have the .dcm extension, but some may not have any extension at all. Crystallizer Viewer can handle both cases. A single scan contains dozens to hundreds of DICOM files. You can select all or part of the images to import into the viewer. If you're still having trouble locating the DICOM files, please feel free to send the entire folder to support@crystallizer.com. We'll do our best to assist you.
  • How long does it take to convert imported images into 3D?
    For standard CT or MRI scan datasets, our viewer (3D model included) typically appear within just a few seconds after import.* * The time it takes can vary based on several factors: Data Size and Complexity: Larger datasets with higher resolution or more slices will naturally take longer to process. Complex anatomical regions with intricate details may also require additional processing time. System Hardware: The performance of your computer plays a significant role. Systems equipped with high-performance CPUs, ample RAM, and dedicated graphics cards will handle the transformation process more swiftly compared to lower-spec machines.
  • Do I need specialized hardware to use your 3D viewer effectively?
    No, you don't need specialized hardware to use our 3D viewer. It's a web-based application, so it runs directly in your browser. A modern laptop or desktop computer with a good internet connection is all you need.
  • Can I get a free trial?
    Yes, we offer a 14-day free trial of our software for both monthly and annual plans. To start your free trial, simply sign up on our website and select the plan that best fits your needs. During your free trial period, you'll have access to all of our features and functionality, and you can test the viewer on your own data without any restrictions. This is a great opportunity to see how our viewer can benefit your specific needs and workflows.
  • How do you ensure the security and privacy of patient data?
    We take the security and privacy of patient data very seriously. All your data is securely stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud databases. AWS is a leading cloud service provider known for its robust security measures, including encryption, firewalls, and secure access controls. This ensures that your data is protected against unauthorized access and potential security threats. Our system is designed so that we have no access to your data. Your information is stored securely in the cloud, and only you and the individuals you choose to share it with can access it. This means that your patient data remains confidential and private at all times.
  • Can I export my medical images in different formats such as JPEG or PNG?
    Yes, you can export your medical images in various formats, including JPEG, PNG, and NII. This flexibility allows you to utilize your images in different applications, share them easily, or include them in presentations and reports. 1. Click on the "FILE" menu located at the top bar of the interface. 2. Select "Export as" from the drop-down menu. 3. Select the format you want to export your image in (JPEG, PNG, or NII). 4. Choose how you want to bundle your exported files. Select either a PDF or ZIP file format. 5. Click "Export" to begin the export process. 6. Once the export is complete, the file will be downloaded to your computer. (If you chose the ZIP format, all the exported files will be bundled together in a single ZIP file. If you chose the PDF format, the exported files will be bundled together in a single PDF document.) By exporting images in these formats, you can easily share them with colleagues, include them in reports, or utilize them in other software applications that support these file types. Please note: When exporting patient data, ensure that you comply with all relevant privacy regulations and guidelines. Avoid sharing sensitive information without proper authorization.
  • How can I share my 3D medical imaging viewer with others, including my own data?
    You can easily share your viewer along with your data by generating a shared link within the viewer. To share your viewer: Click "SHARE" located at the top bar of the viewer interface. Click "COPY LINK" Once you've copied the link, you can share it with others, allowing them to access and view your data through the viewer. Please note: Anyone with access to this link can view your shared data. Please ensure that you are comfortable sharing this information and consider who you distribute the link to.
